I began writing this novel on February 18, 2016 when I was 18. All I knew was that I wanted a physical piece of my work in my hands. I wanted something where the main character wasn't a skinny, perfect, girl following the same tropes as every other well known novel.

I wanted something that I could relate to. Something that was real. Not a fairy tale. I didn't want the story to revolve around this girl and her newfound 'love'.

So that is exactly what I did. I started writing something that wasn't like anything else that I have read. I wanted it to be as realistic as possible. And that required a lot of research. I've spent a good chunk of my savings on this novel: A $400 novel cover, countless information books, clothing and accessories for photo shoots, and many other things.

The next thing I had to do was create characters. They had to be perfect, but not so at the same time. And so, using some of my personality traits as well as some others I noticed from others', 4 main characters were created.

About

Jessica Rose - An average height, fair skinned 23 year old girl with large, icy yellow eyes. She has long, jet black hair that falls just below her shoulders and is usually seen in a braid.

Efraim Beasley - A tall, tanned skinned 26 year old guy with green eyes. He has neatly trimmed brown hair and a muscular build.

Stanko Volinsky - A short, pale skinned 18 year old guy with amber colored eyes. He has short, messy brown hair and a skinny figure. Often referred to as 'Stinko'. Russian.

Louise Britt - A short, tan 16 year old girl with small hazel eyes. She has short, curly, platinum blonde hair and is somewhat thin for her age.

And so the main group was created. From then on out, everything was just improv.
